Where are you based?
 - I'm in Bounds Green in north London. My studio is a 3 - 4 minute walk from Bounds Green tube station on the Piccadilly Line.

How long will the session last?
 - Usually around 2 - 3 hours. However I only book in one person per day, no matter how busy I get, so we've ultimately got as long as we need. Every session starts with a good chat and a cup of tea so I can get to know you, find out a bit about your career and what you're looking for before I even pick up a camera. By sticking to one person per day we're not rushed in any way - and best of all, it means we can make use of the best available light of the day.

Can I shave or change my hair during the session?
- Absolutely.

What should I bring?
- A good selection of tops. Keep them simple - avoid distracting logos or patterns, and vary the neck lines as much as you can. Bring tops that you feel good or confident in and if you're unsure of what will work bring as many as you want and we'll go through them together. Also bring any make up or hair products you'll need if you want to make any changes during the session, but make sure you keep your make up simple and natural.

Ultimately, we're not trying to present an overly styled version of you - for me, headshots are about creating an image that captures you: how you're going to look when you walk into a casting or agent's office; something that discloses a little of who you are and something that shows you off.

Can I bring a friend or relative with me?
- Of course. But when we start shooting they'll need to nip off for a coffee as we'll be working alone so we can focus and avoid distractions.

What should I do to prepare?
- Most importantly, try to arrive rested and relaxed. Photoshop can work wonders removing bags under the eyes etc but there's no substitute for being refreshed and energised.

Outdoor or studio?
- I shoot in three different ways: outdoors using natural light, in my studio and using a balance of day light and studio light. It's entirely up to you how you spend your session (of course I'm happy to make suggestions to what might work best for you if you're unsure) but most sessions tend to consist of a mix of all three.

How many 10x8s will I get?
- A few days after the shoot you'll receive a CD of your proofs - around 150 in total. I'll pick my 4 favourite and finish them (which basically means doing the post production work to turn them into the fully finished images you see in my gallery) so you can see what they're going to look like finished. Click here to see the difference between a proof and finished image. You then get to pick your choice of 6. I'll finish those and send them out to you on another CD, plus you'll get to keep the 4 I originally finished as a bonus, so in total you'll have 10 high res finished images to use.

That seems a lot..?
- I love my job. I get a real buzz out of photographing actors, on stage and as themselves, and I charge what I think is fair. I see no reason in only giving you a couple of images and forcing you to pay more money to get a good selection of headshots to use. And as an ex-actor I do my best to give my clients the sort of service I would've hoped to receive from a photographer myself.

Do you work weekends?
- I do. I know sometimes how hard it is if you're a drama student, rehearsing or working during the week to get time off so I gladly shoot weekends at no extra charge.

If there's anything else you want to know that I haven't covered here, feel free to call me for a chat or drop me an email. If I'm with someone at the time I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
